Racecraft Inc. drag racing springs are cold-wound from SAE-9254 chrome silicon wire. Optimum wire diameter is selected for the individual design. After coiling the closed ends are ground and the spring is thermally stress relieved pre-set and shot peened. Completed springs are then magnafluxed inspected epoxy powder coated and checked for dimension trueness and rate. This rate is etched directly on the coil. This strict manufacturing process assures tolerances within +/- 2%.
